Roger “the Master Scout “ is our father, an avid duck hunter from lake St. Francis for many years. Being a duck hunter all his life, he started hunting geese in 1980 with us in Ingleside and then decided to leave us lead the way in calling and master the hunt of geese. As our business started, he helped us out by becoming “our master scout”. At age 72, he still finds the time to find the birds the day before the hunt. Knowing all our farms and fields that we hunt in, Roger leaves early in the morning enjoying a breath of fresh air the day before the hunt, and follows the flyway as they leave their resting area to go and eat. We can count on Roger to find the geese in one of our fields. Excited, he calls to confirm the next day’s hunt location. The secret to our success is due in part, to Roger’s scouting and helping behind the scenes.
